Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo | Boundless

21.10.2024 News

The Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo hosted a stunning exhibition by artist Jean Boghossian from 17 July to 20 September 2024, as part of the “1001 Vies” summer program by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. Visitors explored four key aspects of Boghossian’s work in harmony with the Belle Époque architecture of the hotel: monumental wooden sculptures, dynamic “volcanic” paintings, large fan installations, and his latest series, the “almond faces,” inspired by actual almonds.

The exhibition, titled “Boundless,” concluded with an exclusive closing dinner on 17 September at the Salle Belle Époque. This elegant evening featured a thoughtful conversation with Boghossian, led by curator and moderator Thierry Consigny. Joining them were notable figures, including his brother Albert Boghossian, CEO of Boghossian Jewels, Louma Salamé, Director of the Boghossian Foundation, Bruno Corà, curator, art critic and president of The Foundation Albizzini Collezione Burri, and Cathy Van Keer, his wife and President of the Board of the Boghossian Foundation.

Through his art and the conversation, he shared important glimpses of his journey from Armenia to Monaco, embodying the essence of his “1001 lives” as a lifelong artist and creator.

A special thanks goes out to Louis Starck, the General Manager of Hotel Hermitage and his incredible team, also led by Laura Douay.
